Trauma-Informed Yoga: Cultivating Grounding and Safety

This class offers a gentle and supportive space designed specifically for adults who have experienced trauma, chronic stress, or anxiety. Our practice prioritizes choice, predictability, and empowerment over performance.

Instead of focusing on complicated poses, we use foundational movement, simple breath practices, and grounding techniques to help you reconnect with your body in a way that feels safe. The intention is to learn how to actively regulate your own nervous system, gradually shifting from states of hyper-vigilance or disconnection toward a feeling of centered calm.

The instructor provides clear direction with numerous modifications and is mindful of language and physical adjustments. No physical touch is ever used without explicit consent, and you are always in charge of how you move, rest, or pause. This is a non-judgmental space to reclaim your physical self at your own pace. All bodies and all levels of yoga experience are welcome.
